Emergent on the March in Missions

I heard about your website on Reach FM in South Florida. I see you are interested in the effects of the Emergent Church. My wife and I have been missionaries in North Africa for 8 years. In the last year we have seen Emergent teaching creep into missions with Muslims. It is related with radical contextualization of the gospel. Basically, that Muslims can accept or like the teachings of Jesus and remain Muslims. Obviously you can see the influence of Brian McLaren in this. In fact some of the Wycliff missionaries that are involved in a new Bible translation are friends of McLaren’s.
You need to read a book called “Pilgrims of Christ on the Muslim Road” by Paul Gordon Chandler . I sure you will see the parallels in this book. I believe that the mission agencies that are promoting this need to be held accountable.
