Blue Like Jazz author, Donald Miller, will be giving the invocation at the Democratic National Convention. The blog at Christianity Today reports. No word on whether he’ll pray that the shedding of innocent blood will stop and that the party that has championed the slaughter of preborn children to the tune of 50 million will repent and defend life. No word on whether he will pray that God will bring to repentance those who want to redefine marriage to include the joining of any assortment of genders or species. You can expect to hear much prayed about “social justice” and poverty, two causes which are politically acceptable.

If you were asked to give an invocation at a Nazi convention while millions of Jews were being gassed in ovens, would you ask God to bless the assemblage and bring about “social justice” (when Dems use this term it never includes justice for children in the womb) and an end to poverty? The cries of the Jews heard in my conscience would drown out all else. It’s time to remember first things, friends, and there is nothing more essential than the right to life. Without that, everything else is meaningless. Hopefully, Mr. Miller will remember that.
