I spoke with the London headquarters of Benjamin Creme’s Share International organization. The woman I spoke with was friendly and helpful and told me that the emergence of  “Maitreya”, the world teacher and christ figure, was so, so close. A star is going to appear shortly, they say, that will shine night and day. It will herald the appearance of this world teacher on national television in the U.S. (He will not reveal himself by the name “Maitreya”, however.)

After a short interview with a member of China Aid, who will fill in details regarding the collusion of the TSPM church in China with the government in the persecution of believers there, I will play clips from several recent commercials that have aired in the US regarding the emergence of this anti-Christ figure. The woman on the line in London this morning told me that this will be the most exciting thing ever to happen in the history of the world. She told me she, like everyone else there in the office in London, is a volunteer. They are that committed to this anti-Christ figure’s coming.

My response today is to worship the one true Christ, the living Son of God, who sits at the Father’s right hand, interceding for us. All praise and all glory today to Jesus Christ, at whose name every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

A viewer of the Fox Channel sent me a link to the new commercial that is airing, promoting the coming of the new (false) world teacher, Maitreya. They claim that his “hand is on the door.” Well, Maitreya, we’ve been expecting you and intend to expose you for who you really are.

The other day on Crosstalk I had two very different caller perspectives, back to back. One challenged listeners to stand up for the sanctity of human life and do all they could to defend the helpless in our death-crazed culture. “We are Christians. We’re obligated to stand for what’s right. God’s responsible for the results.”

The next caller reminded me of Eyore from Winnie the Poo. “It’s all gonna come down,” he intoned. “All we can do is pray. We need to stop this activism stuff and just pray,” was his message.

The first caller represented the muscular and potent Christianity that helped Christians rescue infants from the walls of Rome where they had been left to die. This caller represented the theology and worldview that propelled Christians into the coliseums where they faced the lions after defying the Roman command to stop their preaching. This is the Christianity that ended chattel slavery in Britain and gave rise to the revolution that gave us our nation.

The other caller represented the mewling pietism that passively allowed the deaths of 6 million Jews in Germany and 50 million children in America. These are the people who have Hal Lindsey and Jack and Rexella Van Impe DVD’s stacked high in their homes. They view the Left Behind series as seminal work on the subject of Bible prophecy. These are not the ones you would have run to if you were a Jew back in Germany, trying to escape the Nazis. These are not people that would intervene with offers of help for your mother at an abortion clinic where you were about to be cut to pieces. They would be at home, checking out the latest flip chart prophecy guru on Christian TV.

While men like Mark Driscoll are sexperimenting and glorifying all that is profane and vulgar in our culture, hard times are coming. A sobering, prophetic warning from Paul Washer (4 mins.).

Readers, for years I have been telling Christians about Share International and its claims that the “World Teacher”, international man of peace, Maitreya, is coming on the scene. I have quoted founder Benjamin Creme, a man I have interviewed, and told you how in recent days, the Presidency of Barack Obama is being heralded as the beginning of a new era of this supposed world teacher. Supposedly, Maitreya made an appearance in Kenya, back in the 80’s.

Imagine my surprise to see this press release posted as news at a financial website. Here is the press release at Marketwatch.com. They moved the article from its original URL, but a reader found it again. It looks like the world media is more than ready to shill for this false christ.

This builds on Larry DeBruyn: The Coming Kingdom and concerns an emergence theory from religious pundit Phyllis Tickle whose new book is telling Emergent Church pastors like Doug Pagitt and his friend Rob Bell exactly what they want to hear: Emergent Christianity is the new reformation.

In fact, as you’ll see in this post from Apprising Ministries Tickle has said: “Brian McLaren is to this new reformation what Martin Luther was to the Protestant Reformation.”

There is a new article by Pastor Larry Debruyn at Herescope that is important reading.

As he embraces “the nonviolent Jesus of the Gospels” (the Jesus of “love and grace”), one Christian leader now debunks what he labels the “jihadist Jesus” of the “Second Coming” (the Jesus of “violence and domination”). According to Brian McLaren, “the Second Coming Jesus”—once held by an evangelical consensus to be one of the five fundamentals of the Christian faith—needs rethinking.[1]

Daniel Pipes, Director of the Middle East Forum, and distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, has written an interesting article on the Muslim reaction to the election of Barack Obama. His website is an excellent place to get intelligent and scholarly information about radical Islam and its threat to the West. I did not realize until I read this piece that the Muslims had prophecies about a “tall black man coming to power in the West” before the end of the world.

Here are the words of Maitreya prophet Benjamin Creme from October 11, 2008. Creme has been “prophesying” this for decades. 15 years ago when I interviewed him, none of this made sense. Today, it very much does. This “channeled” message appeared one month ago:

“For many years We, your Elder Brothers, have warned men of the dangers of blindly following market forces which, themselves, are blind. Thus, the present widespread economic and financial crisis should not be unexpected. The ‘bubble’ created by competition and greed had, inevitably, to burst. Recently Louis Farrakhan, head of the quasi-Muslim group Nation of Islam “declared Barack Obama to be a messiah.” Interesting times. And a reader informs us that they heard an ad today on a well-listened to station in Sacramento announcing that the messiah awaited by the world’s religions was coming. Can you imagine having dinner with someone like Adolf Hitler? The wine is flowing, a string quartet is in the corner, playing some piece by an approved Aryan composer. The silver gleams, the white linen tablecloth is resplendent, and across from you is Adolf Hitler—the embodiment of Satan himself. The terrorist sycophants of the World Council of Churches will be supping tomorrow with, and I quote, “His Excellency Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.”

So what kind of dinner conversation do you have with a man like this?

I think this dinner is an outrage, and I think that the WCC leadership should be exposed for the racist, genocide-supporting hypocrites that they are. They need to repent and believe the Gospel. Jesus Christ was a Jew and the Jews are God’s chosen people. The World Council of Churches has chosen to dine with the Devil on Thursday, but the Devil’s tools must also share in his destruction. UCC Renewal Leader Calls for World Council of Churches to Cancel Dinner for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

It is often said that there is nothing like a major sporting event on a Sunday to separate the sheep from the goats. On Super Bowl Sunday, church attendance drops as people reveal who their God is.

In England, it’s not much different, except it is soccer that has long been an idol, and today in Manchester, England, I had the displeasure of hearing hundreds of Manchester United soccer fans chanting:

“What a friend we have in Jesus,” and then they continued “and his name is Cantona.” (an ex-player)

Hearing hundreds boldly blaspheming Christ on the streets where I live broke my heart, but when I realised on match day’s there are up to 76,000 people in a stadium doing this, it was crushing.

But another thing struck my mind. Whilst I expect unbelievers to act like unbelievers. Why is it that when I heard just a few hundred fans singing blasphemies I found it heart breaking. Yet there are many professing Christians who pay a fortune to listen to that, and more, each week with their children, and do not seem in the least bit disturbed by it?

We see only the low-level, obvious fruit of the global New Spirituality that is emerging. Behind the scenes, the United Nations and powerful organizations are working to bring this New Spirituality into reality in every area of life for what they term is the “planet’s survival”. In January, the first forum was held of the U.N.’s Alliance of Civilizations in Madrid, Spain. You can read TIME Magazine’s summary of it here. In the TIME article it is interesting to see their plans for a Rapid Response Media Mechanism where they can have a unified response to world events. The Christian Post has posted a column by Greg Stier of Dare 2 Share Ministries in Colorado. I had never heard of this ministry before, and was impressed with what he had to say about the apostasy around us today. The only thing I would disagree with is that the apostasy is not “coming”. It is here, big time. Stier writes:

You’d be surprised, maybe even shocked, how many well known “Christian” speakers and authors subscribe to some form of universalism (the belief that all of humanity will ultimately be redeemed whether or not they have put their faith in Jesus). They may cloak it in cool, uber-hip terms and drench it in relevant stories of humanity’s spiritual journey, but, underneath all of the philosophic verbage it is there like a festering sore filled with puss and heresy.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Peter emphasized that “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Paul emphasized, “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:14).

He lists the various signs of apostasy today, and he does a good job in fleshing it out. It’s good to hear other voices that God is raising up today who are not afraid to speak out on the false teaching flooding into the evangelical church.
