Dumpster Babies – One Morning’s Sampler

Back in the 80’s and early 90’s there was a children’s trading card fad called Garbage Pail Kids. The vulgar and grotesque cards featured cartoon images of babies and children in trash cans, dumpsters and so forth, or suffering from some hideous ailment. At the time, it was pointed out that the lessons of Roe v. Wade had been learned well by American youth: Children are hassles to be discarded at will if they annoy or inconvenience you. Just dump them in the trash.
This morning’s news featured several new examples of what has happened to the value placed on life and God-given maternal instinct. Decades of feminism, materialism and secularism are destroying womens’ most basic instinct to protect their own babies. This story today tells of a mother delivering an infant in an airplane bathroom midflight and discarding the baby in a trash can. The child was discovered after an hour in the garbage. Perhaps the most disturbing paragraph in the piece was this mind-boggling quote from the airlines:
“We are relieved to have been informed that both mother and child are reunited, are well and are now being looked after in hospital,” the airline said in a statement.
They are relieved to know that mother and child are reunited after the garbage can incident? What kind of insanity is it to place a baby again in the hands of such a mother?
This horrifying story from WorldnetDaily reports that girls in rural America are using livestock abortion drugs to induce their own abortions. Young girls are drinking poison to kill their own children. They risk death, not to deliver their babies into the world, but in order to kill them.
Wasn’t that sexual revolution of the 60’s just marvelous? Yes, it has led to so many improvements in our country and Western culture. Last week, a news story reported criminal charges for a lesbian chasing her partner with a turkey baster, trying to force her to conceive a child from some sperm donor. Love, American style.
A report from a U.K. paper talks about a new book where the author describes her “accidental” (on purpose) conception of a child from a one-night stand. Women don’t have time to bother with marriage and traditional motherhood these days, so when the biological clock starts ticking, a one-night stand baby is cheaper than adoption fees, and you get to experience the joys of pregnancy. How utterly sick and twisted the thinking becomes when God is thrown out and His Law is mocked. The social consequences of all of this rebellion against God are huge, and they have only just begun. God help those of us who are trying to raise our families and stand for life and truth in the middle of this blood-soaked Sodom.
